Old Quebec

Founded by Samuel de Champlain, Québec City was the first city of New France and North America. In its historical district, which is part of the UNESCO World Heritage Sites, discover a purely typical romantic atmosphere, countless historic sites as well as unique architectural features. Musée national des Beaux-Arts du Québec

Located on the famous Plains of Abraham, this beautiful museum has the largest collection of Quebec art in the world. Discover the masterpieces of our most legendary artists, including Pellan, Riopelle, Borduas, Lemieux, Dallaire, Leduc and Ferron. The museum also has a precious Inuit art collection, as well as temporary exhibitions from some of the world's greatest museums. 

Musée de la Civilisation

Quebec's largest and greatest history museum is located in the Old Port area, on the Banks of the St. Lawrence River. This museum has a unique interactive approach, and will help you learn about the history of the Quebec people and territory, as well as the culture of the First Nations of Quebec. A special exhibition and a costume workshop are also on display especially for children. 

Musée de l’Amérique française

Entering the Séminaire de Québec is like discovering a world full of secrets. This museum is located inside the building of the very first French university of the continent, which is still one of the landmarks of French civilisation in America. Discover some objects from the Jesuits' private collection or admire the beauties of this building- a true gem in the heart of Old Quebec! 

Centre d’interprétation de Place-Royale

In the heart of Place-Royale, where Samuel de Champlain founded Quebec City in 1608, this museum will make you go through the 400 years of history of Quebec City as if you had been there all along. A film about Samuel de Champlain and three floors of fascinating objects will provide you with an idea of what life in Quebec City was in the past and is nowadays. Moreover, different workshops will make your children as happy as they can be!

La Côte-de-Beaupré

Located only 30 minutes away from town, the Beaupré area is the countryside of Quebec City. The region counts several beautiful villages, the picturesque New France Route, as well as the Sainte-Anne-de-Beaupré Basilica… surely one of North America’s most famous pilgrimage sites!

Some of its other attractions include: the cyclorama of Jerusalem, the Canyon Sainte-Anne, the Cap-Tourmente Wildlife Reserve, Les Sept-Chutes and the Mont Sainte-Anne.
